As someone who had only previously dabbled in creating 2D platformer games through following tutorials, embarking on my first Unity project in 3D virtual reality space was quite a leap. But with determination and a willingness to take small steps towards my goal, I was able to successfully navigate this new territory.
I am proud to present the first iteration of my VR controller programming, which incorporates elements of raycast interaction, instancing, and swarm behavior. These techniques allow for a more immersive and interactive experience for the player, and are a testament to my growth and understanding of video game programming. Moving from 2D to 3D may have seemed like diving into the deep end, but with perseverance and a step-by-step approach, no challenge was too great.
